“Standing back to back, with our heads wrapped around one another, resting, represents duality, balance, weight, surrender, connectivity, and the searching for something beyond oneself, hope. We look peaceful standing there and we are. Smoke Farm creates space to think about creativity without limits, to dream." - Rachel Green via City Arts

Trust as an alchemic ritual of the heart. It is about surrender and observation. It is an exploration of the dualistic properties within oneself. The dance is a ritual of self devotion, of hope. The hour long piece is comprised of three chapters, a procession, performance, and dance.

The temporality of the movement reflects that of the stage, the grass, dirt and trees, the surrounding environment. The movement shifts slowly between tender, strong, turbulent, sorrowful and trusting. The patterning of the dance creates a blossoming effect. The dance eventually blooms, bursting, it slowly disintegrates, into a memory fed by shadows, leaving open space for transformation and breath.
